Dr. Igor Korotun is a third-generation doctor from a long family lineage of family practitioners. He is an honored graduate of NYUCD (D.D.S, 1992). He has over 25 years of extensive experience in many aspects of his beloved field. Being an avid learner, Dr. Korotun spends a lot of his time honing his skills and learning all of the innovative and contemporary dental techniques currently available.

Recently he became an Alleman-Delpieri Biomimetic Academy graduate; one of a handful of dentists around the world. He is a licensed practitioner in New York State and an active member of the American Dental Association. Dr. Korotun provides dental care for many colleagues, dentists, nurses, medical doctors and even some of his own teachers. He has worked for many years in Long Island, NY and has now expanded his skills to the New York City area.

Dr. Korotun enjoys spending his free time with his wife Tanya and children. He enjoys leisurely reading, travelling, golfing, and more recently wood sculpting.

Mariya Korotun is the office manager of East Side Smiles. Her goals are to ensure patients receive comfortable and appropriate care and are satisfied with every aspect of their visit. She is always available to answer any questions patients may have about their treatment or insurance plans. She is a graduate of Hofstra University and enjoys working side by side with her father, Dr. Korotun. She loves people and has worked with them for 10+ years. In her spare time, she enjoys being with her husband, family & friends.

Marilyn Huaman joined the East Side Smiles team in the summer of 2017. She is a New York State licensed dental hygienist with over 10 years of experience. She is passionate about providing high-quality care to her patients with an emphasis on clinical excellence. She is committed to making a difference in the overall oral health of her patients. She loves to teach her patients about the importance of a healthy mouth and oral disease prevention.

Marilyn is a long time resident of Bronx, NY. She is an animal lover who enjoys spending time with her family and friends when she is not in the office. She loves to frequent Central Park any chance she gets!
